CityPlanner

Smart, sustainable and integrated urban development through urban data analysis

The goal of the CityPlanner project is to create a sound data foundation that reflects both local events and incorporates external data sources. For this purpose, a city-wide network of 100 sensors is being established to collect mobility and environmental data. The collected information will feed into a central Urban Data Platform (UDP).

The data serves as a basis for the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of measures in urban development and enables the implementation of innovative concepts in the areas of mobility and climate protection. In cooperation with the relevant stakeholders in urban development, practice-oriented use cases and concrete recommendations for action are being developed.

The project aims to demonstrate the benefits of data-driven urban development and to promote broader application in other cities by providing concrete recommendations.
